Clean Up Recap and Yard Sale Days Info

Hello Neighbors!

Last Saturday, April 30th, LWNA participated in the Great American Cleanup.  We are grateful for the wonderful volunteers (both in getting out the newsletters and at the clean-up itself) and for the City crew who went above and beyond picking up our trash bags by helping us clear out the tumbleweeds (i.e. fire hazard) in the arroyo and open space.  If you weren’t able to make it, we’re looking forward to next year’s event and will hopefully see you there!

Not only did we get the neighborhood looking great, we had a chance to chat and get to know our neighbors.  Check out the pictures from the event, below.

We also wanted to give you an update on the “yard sale days.” Clear out those closets and get ready for the sale weekend – beginning Thursday May 19th.  Have your sale as few or many days as you want – it’s up to you.  We will be advertising on craigslist, nextdoor and our marquees. So, with a neighborhood full of sales and free advertising it’s the perfect time to Spring clean and make a little bit of money!

Looking forward!

Neighborhood Yard Sales Reminder – Next Weekend!

Hello Neighbors!  Have you been thinking about clearing out some of that clutter as you tackle Spring cleaning?   Well, don’t forget to get your extra household items together for this year’s “Neighborhood Yard Sale Days” to be held next Friday and/or Saturday, June 5th/6th.  LWNA will be advertising the neighborhood-wide yard sales on http://www.nextdoor.com and on Craigslist (you may have also noticed the signs on the marquees).  You can also help spread the word and put up street signs!

Looking forward to seeing you on the 5th/6th!

Cleanup Day Recap and Yard Sale Update

Hello Neighbors!

Last Saturday, April 25th, LWNA participated in the Great American Cleanup.  While we were hoping for more than the 13 volunteers that came, we were grateful for them and managed to pick up 30 bags of trash in a few short hours!  If you weren’t able to make it, we’re looking forward to next year’s event and will hopefully see you there!

After the cleanup we enjoyed a picnic lunch provided by LWNA, which gave us a chance to chat and get to better know our neighbors (and neighborhood issues).   Check out the pictures from the event, below.

We also wanted to give you an update on the “yard sale days.”  We originally had posted that we would advertise for neighborhood-wide sales on June 6th, but we have expanded that to June 5th and/or 6th so those of you that want to start on Friday will also be covered by the advertising.  Scroll down to the very next post to see the updated details.

Looking forward!
