Use Caution When Buying A New Car

With warmer Spring weather, many of us are considering the purchase of a new car.  The National Insurance Crime Bureau (NICB) reminds us to use caution if that car is used. Many cars were involved in the recent flooding in the United States.  These vehicles are considered salvaged.  But, unscrupulous dealers may clean up these vehicles and sell them in other states.  The NICB has a tool you may use for FREE to determine if the vehicle is salvaged.by an insurance company: the NICB Check. You can also use this tool to see if the vehicle was reported stolen and not recovered. the link for this service is https://www.nicb.org/theft_and_fraud_awareness/vincheck.
