Upcoming Events in the New Year

Happy 2017 Neighbors!  We hope you and yours had happy and safe holidays.

Speaking of holidays…Do you still have that “live” Christmas tree?  Well, you can bring it right down the street to Ladera Golf Course for tree-cycling, where there will also be a place to recycle lights.   Just make sure to take everything off the tree first and drop it off between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday, Jan. 2 through Sunday, Jan. 15.

Once the decorations are out of the way, perhaps you’d like to have your 2017 concerns for the community heard by your elected officials.  Our Representative Antonio “Moe” Maestas is having a Town Hall meeting where you can hear his plans for the new Legislative Session and share your concerns and ideas.  It will be Saturday, January 21 from 2-4 in the Ladera Golf Course banquet room.  (If you can’t attend the Town Hall but would like your feedback passed on, contact Board Vice-President Karen at kbucco@comcast.net).

Next, mark your calendars for Thursday, February 16, 2017 – this will be Westside Day at the Capitol – details will follow in a later post. And, it’s never too early to plan to attend this year’s Great American Cleanup on Saturday, April 29, 2017!
