Thanks to All for a GREAT Annual Meeting!!!

Hello Neighbors!

LWNA was proud to see so many of you, as well as our esteemed guests (including folks from Ladera Heights), at our Annual meeting on September 22nd.   We had a packed house, with over 50 people in attendance!

Some of the highlights included:

Informative and spirited discussions with State Representative Antonio “Moe” Maestas, City Councilor Ken Sanchez and APD NW Area Commander Dodi Camacho about APD and other crime prevention issues:

A lively presentation about 3-1-1 services from Ms. Esther Tenenbaum, Division Manager of 311 Citizen Contact Center followed by a question-and-answer session (complete with prizes!):

A new member, Karen Buccola, was voted onto the board while the entire Association thanked outgoing board member Marian Meyers and former board members Ike and Sue Gilmore.

Councilor Sanchez and others reminded us all what a great leader we had in our former long-time Board President Bob McCannon (and now we can all remember him as we drive down the newly named “Bob McCannon Parkway”).

And, most importantly, neighbors got to mingle and meet (and eat), talk to their representatives, express their concerns and share their suggestions (we will post follow-ups to all the suggestions and handy-person referrals we got in future posts).

Overall, it was a great event and we were so glad to see you there!!!  THANK YOU!  See you at the Great American Cleanup in April!
