Save the Date! LWNA Annual Meeting Tues. Sept. 22

Hello Neighbors!

Can you believe that this time last year we didn’t have this website?  Well, since last year’s annual meeting we started this website, cleaned the neighborhood, tried to positively influence the new Walmart development, wrote and distributed a neighborhood newsletter, sponsored neighborhood-wide yard sales and more!   We really appreciate those of you that have joined the Association, checked out the website, came to the Great American Cleanup (and have and continue to pick up trash in the neighborhood any ‘ol time) and many other small acts that make a positive difference.  We’d like to ask one more thing of you….

PLEASE come to the Ladera West Neighborhood Association’s Annual Meeting, being held on Tuesday, September 22 from 6:30 – 8:00 at the Ladera Golf Course meeting room.   We all know how hard it is to find time for a meeting after a busy day of work and family, but we’re hoping you will find it worthwhile.  We’re planning on a nice meet-and-greet to start, where you can meet your neighbors and the Board while enjoying some snacks and drinks.  We are going to have a couple of short presentations about things you may find helpful (did you know 3-1-1/the City can get your large trash hauled off without you having to drive it to the dump?). We’ll end with a quick annual meeting and a chance for you to voice your concerns and share creative ideas for how to improve the neighborhood.   Even if all the time you have in the year is this 1.5 hours, we would love to meet you and want to hear from you!

Stay tuned for more details to come….
